Special Events
Throughout the season Alice is involved in and available to charter for all sorts of special events. These are all at a slightly premium rate but, until we know exactly what you want to do and how many of you will be on board it, is difficult to give an exact price. Check later as more events will be added throughout the season!
Bank Holiday weekend
Sat 5th – Mon 7th May 2012
A fantastic 3 day sail to Cowes, round the Solent perhaps even to Christchurch. It will be a great weekend of real sailing.
Yarmouth Old Gaffers Festival

Fri 25th – Sun 27th May 2012
This is an amazing event, time seems to have stood still for a few decades. We will take part in the Saturday race and be moored for 2 nights at the Hailing Jetty in Yarmouth Harbour. There are many events on shore which you can participate in; this is one of the best Island events, unhurried, low key and just fantastic. Call because so many have shown real enthusiasm for this festival and it would be a shame to miss it.
Spring Bank Holiday

A second long warm weekend, ideal for a Stag/hen party just call and again this could be your special long weekend.
Midsummer on Alice

Isle of Wight Festival
Fri 22nd – Sun 24th June
For this event Alice is moored in Newport just near the entrance to the festival. You join Alice on Thursday at 1300 we motor over to Newport and moor, erect the deck tent – fly your pirate flag and then settle down for the 3 day festival with on board facilities plus being located in the centre of Newport, it cannot be equaled. An event you will always remember. On Monday at 0600 Alice will set off back to Gun Wharf quays in Portsmouth you musical trip is of course self catered.
Round the Island race
Sat 30th June 2012
Watch the finish of this amazing event from a grandstand position afloat; we will probably spend Friday night in Gun Wharf and set off first thing to Cowes. When we arrive we are likely to see the first boats returning for the finish at about 1000 The evening can be spent ashore enjoying the after race conversations in the pubs and sailing clubs. On Sunday late morning we will sail gently back to Gun Wharf arriving midday. This is a 1 and a half day charter and will be great fun, an event not to miss. Just call and agree the schedule you can enjoy at a price to suit your pocket.
Cowes week
Saturday 11th August until Saturday 18th August 2012
If last year is anything to do by there will be 8,500 competitors ranging from Olympic and world class professionals to weekend sailors. In excess of 100,000 spectators come to watch the sailing, enjoy the parties and live entertainment. You can book the week or just a day for this fantastic event. We will moor in Cowes roads – all the racing can be seen as the yachts sail right past us. We have our own rib for transporting you to and from the shore. There are so many options: just call us and we can arrange just a day or the whole of Cowes week.

The sea will be delightfully warm and it will be a great fun 3 day weekend – book now.
Southampton Boat Show
Friday 14h till Sunday 23rd September 2012.
Can you think of a better way of visiting the show – join Alice for a cruise to the show – moor overnight and sail back to Gun Wharf via any of the Solent harbours you feel like visiting.

The combination of Barge and RIB is an excellent one, the speed of the RIB contrasts so well with the sedate yet very powerful sailing experienced on Alice.
