I cannot thank you and your colleagues enough for the fantastic day we shared with you on Friday, Finding an activity that includes everyone is very difficult but Alice was perfect.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our time on board and the chance to crew such an iconic vessel. I have fourteen very happy and very excited colleagues to contend with on Monday. We took over 400 photographs of our day with you and we will post them on our company Facebook page shortly.

I was immensely pleased with the whole day – as organiser I tend to take responsibility for ensuring everybody’s enjoyment and as a result I struggle to relax and enjoy myself. However, I can quite categorically say that I had a fabulous time as did everyone else. It has been great fun in the office today with all the stories and photo’s that are going around!!
Dear Alan and crew, Many thanks for a wonderful day last Friday, we had a fantastic time, not even the weather could spoil our enjoyment! The guys have all said how they would love to do it again and get more involved, so we will be in touch again sometime in the future to arrange a return visit!
Thank you for a wonderful evening sail on Tuesday. Amazing with the 7 P&O liners passing, everyone was buzzing the next day at school. It is such a good team building activity and I'm sure there will be future business from other departments in the school. - many thanks.
Alan, & Alice crew, Thank you so much for allowing us to make Katie’s Hen do so incredibly special. You were all enormously accommodating, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect boat – so practical, with so much space and everything seemed so easy. I will always recommend you, and hope to have another excuse to stay on board Alice again soon.
Many thanks for the really good day out. I have had the phone ringing all morning by my guests saying the same. One of the highlights was that seeing the red faces of the unfit (most of us) getting involved in some of the work. You even delivered the weather. Thanks also to your wife for the superb breakfast and lunches and to the crew for their help.
Just to compliment you and the crew of ALICE for a great day out on Sunday. All my guests really enjoyed themselves (as well as myself !) The running of your barge was very professional but also laid back which is a nice combination.Our only disapointment was having to weigh anchor and leave Priory Bay to get back to Portsmouth ! All in all a great day which was different to anything else that we have done.

By luck or good judgement I decided to book a day’s sailing on Alice for my mums 80th birthday present. As it turned out it has been one of her lifelong ambitions to sail a Thames Barge so I couldn’t have made a better choice. Despite the changeable weather and fickle winds Alan, Tricia, David and the dog Newton ensured we had a great day out on the solent which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Luckily some clouds bought enough wind to get her cracking along at nearly 6 knots when mum was on the helm which will be a moment we will always remember. Ellen [aged 10] was very pleased that she was trusted to gybe Alice and would now like to live on a barge so if you have the room you’re welcome to take her on as cabin girl.
I would thoroughly recommend [and already have] a day out on Alice
We all had a fantastic weekend, great hosts, Jos you probably put up with a lot, but it was appreciated, and not forgetting rootin rootin Newton. We were really well looked after, hangover or otherwise, and the food and drink was plentiful. I have recommend Alice to everyone I've seen and all I need now is another reason to book her up again.

Just a note to say thanks very much for such a super weekend - we were clearly blessed with the weather and it was really great fun. Everyone has said how enjoyable it was to do something a bit different for a hen weekend and we can at least all say we went sailing even if some exerted themselves more than others! The crew looked after us very well - although a particular mention has to go to Newton as our favourite deck hand!

Many thanks to you and your wife for Saturday. We all had an absolutely brilliant time, great sailing and food, and even a swim at Priory Bay! A day to remember, especially for my Father on his 80th Birthday
We were looking for something different to do for a stag, and couldn't of found a better option, Alice is beautiful. It's pretty unusual for so many people to fit on one boat, and then be able to sit around a big table comfortably to have dinner, which you and your crew effortlessly pulled off with style (pretty impressive from a galley kitchen). The sailing was a great complement to the hangover, so thank you for getting us all involved, I promise you it feels pretty majestic to be able to pull up to a casino in basically, a pirate boat.
You and the crew looked after us exceptionally well, both on the boat and off it, it felt more like being hosted by friends than a business. This comes from everyone, who said after how much fun it was. So thank you for making me look good!

Hi Alan, sorry for the delay in my answer, we have just come back from holidays. After being in Portsmouth we were in Scotland and then in the beach in the south of Spain, so we had really nice holidays ;-)))
Thanks a lot for the pictures and for the great time with you and Reg. We enjoyed it a lot. In fact, last week my husband and I were attending a sailing training course for beginners (in a catamaran), and we remembered many of the things you commented to us during our tour in the Alice (the direction of the wind, the 45º you should take when sailing towards the wind....)... really interesting and amusing!

Thank you for letting us use your magnificent boat to scatter our fathers ashes at sea ,you made it very special for us.
Although it was a sad day we had a lovely time out in the Solent.
We scattered his ashes and we each dropped a rose in the water and then toasted his health with a very good whisky, my father would have approved.
My mother has also asked me to thank you for your kindness.
My Family have suggested we make it an annual trip, I will speak to you about it closer to the time.

Alan, This is just a short e-mail to express our thanks to you, Tricia, and David for a wonderful day out. We all had a great time, we enjoyed the varied weather and our visit to Ryde harbour. Everybody said that the food was excellent, the bacon rolls were just the thing on arrival and the lunchtime spread was handsome.

I just wanted to drop you a note to say thank you for the great trip we had on Alice on May 21st-23rd. It was a wonderful weekend and I think both your and Tricia’s relaxed and fun attitude made the whole weekend such a success. I had a fantastic time with a suitable amount of learning, eating, drinking, singing and of course humiliation. I will remember that bbq on the Saturday night for a long time; not sure what it was but for some reason those salads and baked potatoes tasted amazing.
I have already recommended Alice to some work colleagues and I hope someone takes you up for a few work trips.

I would like to thank you for giving our Scouts the opportunity to not only go aboard Alice, but to also help in the running and sailing of her. I have spoken to all of the Scouts and they have all told me what a fantastic experience they have had aboard her, and how much they have learnt.
