Evening Sailing on the Solent
Many of our customers struggle to find the time to fit in a sailing event thanks to the pressures of everyday life. Work, house maintenance and social responsibilities leave little time for hitting the waves during the week, meaning that 4charter’s fleet of yachts and Ribs, and especially our Thames Sailing Barge Alice, are in high demand at the weekend.
This is why we have committed ourselves to offering a well-rounded service which even includes evening sailing. Families or groups of friends can take advantage of our evening yacht charter packages from the 20th of April to the 20th of July aboard Alice, with beautiful views across the Solent making the trip the best on offer on the South Coast.
An evening boat hire is a fantastic way of discovering the Solent as daylight begins to fade, with the coast bathed in evening sun providing a picturesque vista. With space on board Alice for up to 14 people to spend the night, the opportunity to indulge in a spot of evening sailing has never been better.
Our most popular package sees Alice depart from Gun Wharf Quays at 6pm on weekday evenings, although this is more flexible at the weekend. During the two anf a half hour trip, guests will be treated to a glass of bubbly on deck whilst admiring views over the Spit Sand Fort located just half a mile outside the entrance to Portsmouth Harbour, and looking back upon the impressive Spinnaker Tower. Starting at only £27 per head, this is not only very affordable but also an excellent way to wind down after a tiring day.
Should you decide to charter Alice for a twilight excursion, 4charter also offers the choice between a self-catering package and making use of an excellent on board chef. Snacks and refreshments can be provided, while our dining area in the main saloon is capable of hosting a sit down meal for up to 16 people – a welcome option after working up an appetite on the Solent!
Why Choose an Evening Yacht Charter?
Yacht charters are the first word in luxury, allowing for the space and speed to explore some of the Solent’s most popular sightseeing points from a comfortable perspective. Yet while sailing during the day is enjoyable, the evening market is particularly interesting as ferries and hovercraft entering Portsmouth Harbour can be frequently observed from the deck – ideal for maritime enthusiasts!
Sailing by evening is a great experience and should not be missed by anyone with a love of getting out on the open water, especially as our chartered packages can be customised in order to visit certain places of particular interest to you – Ryde pier, Gilkicker Point and Wooton creek are all particularly popular with many of our customers.
