4charter offer Ribs for skippered and bareboat charter from Langstone harbour.
Langstone is situated between Portsea Island and Hayling Island on the South-Eastern coast of Hampshire in a three estuary complex. The site is a valuable area of conservation with it being awarded the status; Special Scientific Interest, Ramsar Site (Wetlands of International Importance), Special Protection Area and a designate Special Area of Conservation. Naturally the harbour is a birdwatcher’s paradise with outstanding flora and fauna present. There is plenty of historical interest as well, with artifacts found on the nearby mud flats and local museums. Shopping and entertainment can also be found ashore. For those looking for a more tranquil location, Hayling Island provides beautiful beaches and walks.
Yachts, day sailors or slipway launched craft are always welcome at Langstone Harbour. There is deep water at the harbour entrance at all states of the tide (although shoals either side of the entrance channel extend well out into the Solent and the ebb and flow streams into the Harbour are strong). Visitors moorings (when laid) are on the East side of the Run, south of the Harbour Office. A speed limit of 10knots is to be observed in the harbour and the working frequency is Channel 12.
